When pride becomes a problem

I created this blog to be able to express myself, even if I have paid for the privilege and even if no one ever reads this.  How I see it is that it is a tiny amount to pay to work on my favourite hobby, with the added incentive that since I paid for it I might as well get my moneys worth.  I do have a huge dilemma however, in that I have no idea what I am doing! Definitely a first world problem, but is it bad to want to have a cool blog like the cool kids?

There is a plethora of unlimited resources to help me improve this stuff, the internet, the local library offers courses, I could even choose to enrol in higher education.  The most obvious starting point though would be my blog host.  I have a paid for blog including unlimited support, it’s the first step of ASKING for help that stumps me.  Call it pride.  Call it stubbornness but I am ingrained with independence such that it is a disadvantage at times.

This is why I hate getting a flat tyre on my car.  I use to think it was the inconvenience that made me mad.  After mulling over the last one, I realised that’s not at all why I hate it.  It is because I don’t know how to change a tyre.   I have paid for roadside assistance membership and therefore reliant on some person to change my tyre along with providing other basic car assistance.  A solution I am not happy about though clearly not enough to learn how to change a tyre.  This is one thing where I feel pride has no place because cars are too befuddling!

I know eventually I will have to swallow my stubborn pride but it’s not entirely a bad thing only time consuming.

Hello world

Welcome to my blog the Wahine times, Wahine being the Maori word for woman/women.  I gave my blog this title purely because at the time of creating my name I couldn’t think of a better one to come up with.  All the other names I wanted were gone and I came up with the idea to insert a Maori word for my own cultural spin on it.  And the best thing is my logo which I have yet to create will be something like TWT….Clever aye?

Seriously though it is with happiness I launch my little piece of crazy to this world.  I don’t really know what this blog is about yet, I’m still in the process of discovering it.  What I can say is I love to gossip about anything and anyone (wouldn’t be a good gossip otherwise).  It is also my sound belief that no good gossip should go unpublished.

My intention is to always write about stuff that interests me in order to keep you entertained.  I’ll always be honest and authentic to maintain my promise to never bang out any old rubbish.  All are welcome to read my blog as I discuss living the single life!
